Platte River Power Authority (PRPA) plans to replace their coal plant with a $300 Million gas plant, increasing your electricity bill 8 – 9% per year to pay for it. Gas plants add to deadly pollution and prevent us from attaining climate goals.

Oppose the gas plant & show support for renewable energy at the PRPA Community Integrated Resource Plan Presentation (open to the public). Wear green, bring signs, and if you feel inspired, give public comment!

The presentation will be held on Wednesday, July 17th at 5:30 p.m. at PRPA Headquarters, located at 2000 East Horsetooth Road in Fort Collins.

PRPA is failing to meet its promised climate goals!

PRPA is dead last among the six major state utilities — including Xcel Energy — thathave filed clean energy plans for reducing carbon emissions, despite havingcommitted to 100% clean energy by 2030. They now call the goal “aspirational” & avoid innovations in energy that support the health of our communities and our planet.
