Some Sanity in a Time of Violence: The University of Peace in Costa Rica

Consider attending Bill Timpson’s Rotary presentation on the University of Peace in Costa Rica and that nation’s history of abolishing its military in 1948 and banning guns while reinvesting public funds in education and health. For the past 70 plus years Costa Ricans have enjoyed peace and relative prosperity while other nations in Central and South America have suffered from violence and military coups.
