Salon duc Tape – Film showing of “Inhabitants: Indigenous Perspectives on Restoring our World” – April 22nd, 2022
**********
Why is indigenous knowledge critical to addressing the ecological crises we all face?
On Friday, April 22nd, the Climate Justice Team of Foothills Unitarian Church and the Northern Colorado Alliance for a Livable Future (NCALF) will be co-sponsoring a showing of “Inhabitants: Indigenous Perspectives on Restoring our World.” “Inhabitants” follows five Native American communities as they restore their traditional land management practices in the face of a changing climate. There will be a moderated discussion at the conclusion of the film facilitated by Gailmarie Kimmel of the Foothills Climate Justice Team.
A trailer of “Inhabitants” is available here. The film is not currently available for free viewing. “Inhabitants” lasts for 76 minutes, so we will be starting promptly at 7:00 in order to allow plenty of time for the discussion. There is no need to register in advance for this event; simply click here to join. The Zoom meeting will open five minutes before the film begins, so consider joining early in order not to miss anything.
We hope to see you at this special salon!
